It’s so true that the power of your mind and your mind set is Huge. If you don’t believe in your self or invest yourself then why would others, you get out what you put in.

The power of your thoughts in your mind can carry you a very long way,or they can simply stop your from moving forward at all.

Your mindset can change at times and sometimes very rapidly. It’s important to recognise what strategies support you when this is in a negative way and what helps you become a more positive version of yourself.

Learn how to control your thoughts more when negativity starts to show, look out for the early signs, get your support strategies into action ASAP. Do what help’s keep yourself focused and on track to what you want to achieve, don’t self sabotage.

You really have the power to lead yourself to where you want to go, but you also could be the person who’s hold you back! so unlock the positive mind set you have and take on positive changes to get you to your goals.

Wondering, How to make your mind set as positive as possible to work for you, so you can make new exciting steps you want in your life, review the way in which your doing things towards your goals. Don’t get stuck in a rut, nothing motivational will come from things that don’t challenge you.

Review your steps towards your end game/goals. Make sure you’re enjoying what you’re doing still and if you’re not look at other ways you can achieve the same steps but in a way that is more motivational, fun and inspiring for you to go forward.

Mind, Set, Go….

Meaningful, make sure the goal means something to you, that you want this! That this is for you and not for others or to please them or anyone else. The more meaningful the goal is the more drive, determination and passion you will have in doing this and seeing it through.

Interesting, make sure it’s something that you want to do that pushes you to smash out side comfort Zone, make it exciting, full of new things to learn, take part of /do and of course choose the way that you feel is the most positively challenging for you. If the steps aren’t inspiring you look at alternative ones you can still take to get to your end goal, different steps still leading to the same outcome and your goal.

Nothing stopping you, you know the steps you need to take, plan, prepare and show up. Make things happen, remember every small step counts towards the bigger picture and goal’s you have. Go to bed knowing what you have planned for tomorrow. From exercise plans, to food prep and menus, activities, tasks, to-do lists etc be organised and plan to succeed not to fail.

Determination, keep yourself motivated, surrounded yourself with positive things, people and log the steps you have made, read, watch and listen to things and people that inspires you to keep going. Watch Blogs of the journey others are taking and have took from start to finish to make their goals happen, let them inspire you, show you that they didn’t give up, showing you evidence, you too can do this! Like they did.

Start, set a date and make it happen.the first step is always the hardest. Write it down Mark it on the calendar or diary, the day I made my life change for the better (tomorrow) why wait!

End game, keep your end game clear in your mind, what it is that you want! every time you find it hard, that you’re losing your willpower, remember why your doing this, let the thoughts of your end game push you forward and trough the tough times. Imagine and try to visualise the end,how you will feel being at this point, where you wanted to be and how good that will feel and look. What other opportunities will this then create for you?

Train, train, train. Learn what you need to do to achieve what you have set out to do, build yourself up along the way with the discipline you need to support this goal and all the steps you take. Learn, evolve, develop, conquer, achieve, eat, sleep repeat.

Your centre it’s so important…

It’s What keeps you rotating….

amusement park attraction big black and white

Try imaging your life in the form of a circle, visualise a Ferris-wheel metaphorically speaking. The centre mechanism is what powers the whole motor to make wheel move round!  The centre is made up of different mechanisms which in this metaphor represents your core values, life priorities, principles, morals and beliefs (basically your centre).  All of these keep you being you!  The centre fuels us and motivates our life and as a results gives us drive to set aims, ambitions and goals (moves the wheel).

The centre is so important, it’s important to keep it strong, grounded and functional.  Anything that works in harmony with your core personality fundamentals is going to do positive things for you and drive things forward and keep your life moving in the right direction.  Thus allow a harmonious rotation (hence visualising the Ferris-wheel ), positivity feeds off positivity!

In personal development coaching it is important to look at all our clients fundamental building blocks, their core values and help them base their goal setting around these.  We use a number of techniques to do so.

There are always off days for everyone! Days where the end game feels further away than ever, and you lose your motivation and will.

These are the Days where you need to stop and look at all the steps you have taken already to get where you are and appreciate them! remember you will get there as long as you keep going.

On these days be kind to yourself, surround yourself with positive people, surroundings and spaces.

It so important to have a “motivation Muscle you can go see the link below to:

Remember everyone has off days, don’t be hard on yourself, adapt your plans when things seem hard and its ok to have a day where you just take a Pause from it all.

remember you only give up, when you don’t get back up!

“Motivation Muscle”

There are times when we all need some motivation, especially on those days where it feels harder than normal to keep going; hard to stay on track.

One of our top tips at Brain Biscuits Coaching is to create a “motivation muscle” that you can use that fuels you with positivity when staying on track seems hard.

This needs to be something that is easy to access quickly, for example:

 ·        fill a bag with things that inspire you to keep you on track, this might have your gym stuff ready to go, with a charged I-pod and headphones all packed so on those bad days you just grab it and go work out, run, move, whatever works for you to clear the negative fog.

·        A vision board is great as it visually shows why you are doing this!  Allow yourself a moment to look at all the images that represent what you want, and just why it’s worth continuing!

·        Create a Diary or Journal that shows the steps you have taken so far, and the stages you have reached.  Use this to track your progress. Look at it to see how far you have come.

 Or, all of the above!

Basically, anything that makes you feel positive and boost your mood instantly is a motivation muscle for you.

It is also worth factoring this in to your weekly lifestyle as a success tool.

It’s also a good idea to see what the triggers are that cause the feeling of being deflated, maybe review this trigger and see if there are any changes you could make?

Remember regular motivation is key to your goal setting and of course discipline.

Don’t forget your moment to “Pause”

seaport during daytime

It’s a great idea to just take a moment!

A “pause moment” so you can see all the beautiful things around you.

Our lives can very often be lived at 100 miles an hour and moments can be missed.

We recommend whenever you can to make time to just connect to the world around you
(your pause moment).

This moment “your pause” is so you don’t miss the wonderful things life offers you for free daily, such as nature.  All these things help inspire you and give you sensory feedback and fuel your Neuro-linguistic programming   – what you see, hear and feel etc.

These moments, when enjoyed fully really do remind us that “the best things in life are free” and make us truly feel alive.

The key is to learn how to ensure you don’t miss it, from the flowers, trees to the sky and all the visual variations it has!   Make this time frequently (daily) for your “pause” allowing you the time to take in all that is there for you to enjoy and could really inspire you.

An exercise to start with;

Tomorrow start with your garden (and then you could widen this to the local park, the nearest beach, forest or route into work) and make a mental log of all the things you see around you and how they make you feel?  What sounds did you hear, did you have a favourite part to this moment?  Then enjoy this visual menu, maybe event capture it with a photo.

Here’s one of my most recent favourite pause moments:

Don’t forget to look to the sky as there really are no limits!  While you are there why not reach for a star or two!
