Live a life you love

Live a life you love

February is here the month of love so it the perfect time to look at what you love in your life right now, and what would you love to change/happen and be doing this year?

An Emotion such as Love is so powerful and important as it gives you drive and determination. Relationships are also so important. The relationships you have with your family, friends, and community can really matter but what about the relationship You have with yourself! Do you ever look at how you treat yourself?

It’s important to recognise if you put your self down our put limiting beliefs out there that stop you doing what you love.

Look at what your current personal priorities are it’s Identify how much they mean to you and the impact they have on you.

Also It’s good to look at How much responsibility you have towards the priorities. Can you make them change, can you take control of them? if you are able to be in control what can or would you like to work on first to make your life better and more enjoyable?

It’s important to invest in yourself and your time. When it comes to “me time “it’s so important to not think of it as a selfish act because it’s so important to ensure you are happy just like everyone else, you also matter! The happier you are the more likely that you will find those around you are!

I find it helps with all of the juggling and work life balance we all have to deal with at times making sure time out for yourself is factored in and planned.

There is no time like the present, me time can happen you need to just ask yourself these questions to get the ball rolling and start to make plans!

Work on these 4 questions:

1, if I could do anything what would I love to be doing?

2, What would I love to happen this year that’s within my control?

3,What do I love and enjoy in my life and how Can I factor it in more to my routine?

4, when can I start some of the above, Pick a date when the first step is going to happen! It’s more likely to come true if you write it down and commit to it!

Remember you are steering your direction you can change it,make a life you love with the things that you have the control over and power to change. Sometimes life is hard and we all at times dealt cards that are unexpected, negative or out of our control! and these can therefore take  us off course. But with the things that you do have control over and are able to have responsibility for positive change why not make it all lead to something you want!

Remember there is no failure in trying! Don’t regret things make things happen you deserve to be happy!

You can’t change yesterday but tomorrow is yours for the taking…………enjoy!

2020 make it your Year!!

The new year is almost here and it’s the perfect opportunity to make it the “you year”; find out who you want to be and make it happen!

This new year make every step count; remember goals don’t have to be too Big to be as equally important!

Remember perseverance also shows your really invested and truly want what your aiming for rather than “I should be doing this but don’t really want to”.

Keep the path true to you!

Keeping visuals on your “you year” to motivate you. Help from photos or that item of clothing you want to wear to identify yourself. You might want to have words to help describe you; such as active, healthy, happy.

Success step examples might be;

Keep a diary, have a tick-off chart for each day you did what you set out to do;

An object such as, “That dress or suit” hanging up you want to fit again and feel the best you can be;

That fun dance class that doesn’t feel like exercise but is helping you be more active;

The walk or hike with friends, which means your socialising and being active all in one go;

Have a list of new things to try, projects you want to do round the house to make you feel productive and organised.

Keep this new year fun and interesting, try new things, new activities and visit places you haven’t before, keep things motivational and moving throughout 2019!

Remember something that challenges you positively both mentally and physically is important as it links in your mind and body healthy.

Surround yourself with people that boost you to want to succeed and feel good about who you are. Take part in activities that motivate you and always have something that are also just for you “me time”

Create a list of days out for when you have free time so your ready and prepared to max the use of this time and go and do something positive and planed; such as walks in parks/gardens you may you have annual access to and surrounded yourself in some good “old free fresh air” in natural surroundings of the great outdoors.

Another really good tip is, when your in a good place ask yourself what helps you on the days where you motivation slips a little, then make note of the “go-to’s” that spur you on!

When looking at the new year 2020, remind yourself of all the steps you have already taken to get to where you are!

I love when a new year comes around and letting go of what has been and cant be changed and looking ahead at the new beginning ahead.

My diary has a clear page and a fresh start! So when it comes to the new year I have realistic but motivational goals for myself and I can’t wait.

I work out what I want to focus on, what will make me happy and narrow it down to 4 areas of my life right now and what small steps I can make in the right direction in each.

I wish you all a happy healthy “You” year 2020!

The art of saying No, no to those things you simply don’t want to do!

How many times do you find your life full of things you feel you should do, go to or help out with when you really don’t want to?

Are you normally the one that they ask and the one that always says “yes I can do that” “yes I can help “even if your inner voice is saying or shouting even “No”

What if you make a change? A change that going forward every time that some thing comes up you don’t want to do you take the “new” following approach;

1, Don’t answer straight away if asked to help or do something for someone else and if asked face to face have a strategy that can be something like a phrase like “I’ll check and come back you” don’t respond without thinking the following;

2, ask yourself, Do I want to do this ?

3, ask yourself ,Will it make me/you happy? It’s ok to listen to your voice and feelings remember this doing that and listen to your needs it’s not selfish it’s healthy!

4, Have you had past experience of this activity, event, how did you feel ? Did it bring something positive to your day or life in general?

5,what did you learn and take from the last time?

6, Ask yourself Is it something that challenges you but in the right way for example”I don’t want to workout tonight and go to the gym”

But Actually it brings lots of positivity to your day and life.

6, ask yourself do you leave the place, person or event up lifted or deflated ?

If it deflates you, you are best in theory keeping these things to a minimum, if you have to ever entertain this still. Then all those things you finally say no to doing you can then use the time and effort it would have used up to channel somewhere far more interesting and rewarding for yourself.

Remember your life should feel like your living, living a life you want with a lifestyle that you have created and it’s never to late to tweak it and put a stop to those things you simply don’t want to do!

Your Christmas preparation plan 2019

Your Christmas preparation plan;

It’s that time of the year when Christmas is around the corner and I feel it’s important to make sure you ask yourself; Is any of my Christmas planning filled with things that I want ? Does the planning reflect What is my ideal Christmas?

This time of year can come with so much pressure because we all put ourselves under pressure for everything to be “perfect”

Make sure you don’t use a lot of your energy on things that don’t promote your happiness or adversely affect your wellbeing; nor do things that may add extra financial pressure.

Christmas really is a mixed bag when it comes to emotions too, ether it may be due to past experiences or loss of persons or a change in personal circumstances. Christmas is different for everyone.

This time of year is also typically when our routine goes out the Window and as nice as it is to have days off from the norm, I find this impacts me. If you need routine or notice if you don’t have routine that you struggle with the change of pace, just make sure you keep some of the structure you personally need. For me I need to still clear my head and push myself physically, so I have to stick to strategies that allow me to do this, for me this is my running. I need routine over the festive holidays to keep me on track.

A tip of survival is to avoid a stressful Christmas and just remind yourself to consider your own feelings on things; what matters and what really does not matter …. such as perfection!

Spend your time wisely, and try not to put pressure on yourself, it’s ok if it’s not the perfect Christmas you had in your mind. If things are fun and make you happy and you get to surround yourself with those who matter to you then isn’t that a success in itself?

This year I am trying to aim for the following steps and tasks for myself;

1,Go with the flow days, were I go with how I feel and enjoy the lack of pressure and expectations I put on myself.

2,Social days with those who make me feel happy, uplifted and good.

3,Days to be productive, to get those things done that I didn’t get a chance to until now, and want to have done ahead of the new year.

4,Fresh air outdoors days where we can just get outside on a crisp winter day and enjoy ourselves.

5,have Creative days, it’s important to feed your creativity and if you want to make something or bake or attempt something new just do it!

6, If you find your mind has a few thoughts swimming around about the near future or for the new year etc try to make the time to acknowledge what you are thinking about, make time to write them down. Following on form this….

7, Allow Forward thinking time, It’s good to ask yourself;

•What do I want for 2020?

•What do I want to do in 2020?

And see what come to mind. Get it down on paper it’s more likely to be something you commit to if you see it written it comes to life.

8, It’s good to also be reflective and learn from 2019 what you enjoyed, didn’t enjoy and what you have learnt from these things. Ask yourself if they present again Can you approach things differently, can you change these things, again what do you want and how do you feel?

9, it’s good to ask yourself,what where my memorable happy times of 2019?reflect back at the year‘s highlights, whenever possible use visuals such as photos, Keepsakes etc things that made you feel happy and what was it about this moment and memory, can it be recreated for example ‘photo of a lovely place you walked with friends why not plan more walks and dates to do this again, make it part of a life style for 2020.

10, Give yourself time, the gift of time to sit down for a moment and listen to your thoughts and feelings; find your creative space, your pause moment and let things come to you that need to be considered, process then and write down any questions and goals they set.

Remember the past has happened and can’t be changed but you can be the change you need to make your Christmas and new year 2020 yours!

Take a step outside your normal routine….

Feeling like your plodding along in life right now, feeling like your just existing?

This is the time to look for new ventures! When you find yourself stuck in a rut the only thing to break the cycle is to do something different! Be brave if you want to do something then do it!

Step outside of the normal routine, find that change that breaks this for you! Sometimes a change no matter how small is all that is needed, to both boost yourself esteem and get you in the right direction. Trying these new things can help you both mentally and physically.

New Experiences can be a breath of fresh air and be that new bit of energy you need. Changes that enrich your life and keep you on the path you want are so important. Ever thought to yourself ‘if that didn’t happen I wouldn’t be where I am now?

If you think of things metaphorically;

you plant a seed because you want to grow something and if you just wanted the seed to remind a seed, you wouldn’t have planted it in the first place and most importantly, it won’t flower unless you plant it……

Step outside what you know, be challenged; thrive, grow, live, and flower!
